well, some days you just wonder if you should not have just stayed in bed!
My desktop PC has been in the repair shop for 2 weeks, trying to clone the hard drive so as to reformat it. There was one reason after the other that it was not ready. Finally I go to pick it up on Thursday and find that in order to keep the price to the quote, he had installed a 40 g disk and connected my 160g hard drive as an external drive! I was so mad! After ordering him to install a new 160g drive, I stormed out the shop and promptly turned my left foot on the cobblestones! Pop it went and I limped to the car with Juergen. By the time I was home and upstairs, I could hardly walk.
J went on to work and I elevated and iced the foot all afternoon. Sleeping was not good that night so off we go to the surgeons on Friday morning for x Rays. Bad news is - metatarsal is fractured and I must be on crutches for 4 weeks.. Good news is - no plaster cast but the super duper boot thing.
Poor me, poor me as Sis is prone to say in situations like this. So much for hosting the Newcomers Lunch on Sunday. Thank goodness for a good Team who will make it happen.
