Olympics and other things

Juergen and I spend at least 2 hours every night watching the days events. Unfortunately for me, the events I really love to see, such as ice skating have been coming on between 2 and 4 am, and that is not even on my time clock!

One complaint I have with the ZDF or ARD (state owned public channels in Germany) is that the font on the banner giving names, scores, is so small that I have to go across the room to read it!Now,I know I need new specks and that is on the list for USA, but this is rediculous!

I have been proud of the German and American "sportlers" as my Juergen calls them. It is a race every day between the 2 countries to see who is placed # 1 on the Google Olympics tool I have on my home page. Today Germany is 1. Of course I do root equally for both of my homes.

Sister RKS has been hard at work on daddy's biological family (he was adopted at age 5) for the last 4-5 years and had a major breakthrough in her findings through another genealogist. What a great puzzle our family history is.

Speaking of history, I hope everyone is watching the new PBS series with Henry Louis Gates on Wed. nights. I see it a day later on the PBS video site which is fantastic. The pictures are just as clear as if I were watching it on TV. Modern technology....what a wonder!
