The Snowman Cometh!

0830: Well, just as the Wetter Frosch predicted... it is snowing! Hopefully the 5-10 cm part is wrong! I had even put my boots back in the cupboard, swept up all the scree from the front door and was looking for better days. Oh well, only 16 days til spring, at least by the calendar.

Went to the one of Frankfurt's museums yesterday to see the Last Vikings exhibit. Using the Bayeaux tapestry as a report in history, one can follow the Vikings history to England. I especially liked the explanations of the border symbols, indicating the season of the year depicted in the scene above.

Then walked from the river front to the Kleinmarkt Halle, to get my weekly supply of fresh coriander. I do believe I am addicted to that yummy herb. It goes into almost everything I cook. Really pricey these days, however. The good size bunch I buy normally for 80 eurocents is now up to 1,70 !! Don't care though, I love it.

Heading back towards the Konstablerwache, I made a stop at the Mozart Cafe for a dose of Johannisbeeren torte and a Kannchen Kaffee. The place was extremely full as it was the height of the social hour, around 1630. Mostly older folks, who probably meet there regularly.

Then on by the bank and home. Made for a full day. J worked late so had the rest of the evening to watch PBS shows on my netbook! Yeah for the internet.
